About Dr Chavi Fernando

Dr. Chavi Fernando is a highly experienced General Practitioner dedicated to providing exceptional medical care.
With over a decade in general practice, Chavi is passionate about the holistic well-being of his patients and has strong interests in the integration of technology in healthcare provision.
Qualifications
After graduating as vice-captain from James Ruse Agricultural High School, Chavi went on to study medicine at the University of New South Wales. He earned his medical degree (MBBS) and a Bachelor of Science (Medicine) with First class honours (BSc (Med) Hons I) in 2010.
During his medical training Chavi completed an honours research year in Asthma/Allergy at the prestigious Garvan Institute of Medical Research.
His research explored a potential new target that could be utilised for the development of a novel treatment for Asthma and Allergy management.
Following his completion of his medical degree, Chavi broadened his training expertise with a Diploma in Children’s Health (DCH) from the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2016.
Chavi has also gained valuable experience working across various Western Sydney hospitals, including Westmead, Children’s Hospital Westmead, Blacktown, Mt Druitt, and Cumberland psychiatric hospital.
