Dr. Travina Fernando, an experienced GP with over a decade working in general practice.

She is passionate about the health and well-being of her patients, bringing a compassionate approach to her work. 

Qualifications

Travina earned her medical degree (MBBS) from the University of New South Wales in 2010 and further specialized by completing a Diploma in Children’s Health (DCH) from the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network.

Having developed a keen interest in general medicine, Travina undertook further training and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2017.

Her extensive experience includes working across various Western Sydney hospitals, such as Westmead, Children’s Hospital Westmead, Blacktown, Mt Druitt, and Auburn hospitals.

Bio

Inspired by her upbringing in Zambia alongside her training in Australia, Dr Travina Fernando has raised awareness and respect when addressing the needs of a diverse population.  As a mother of three, she truly understands the unique demands and joys of motherhood, bringing an empathetic perspective to her practice and patient approach.

Outside of her medical commitments, Dr. Fernando enjoys unwinding with long walks, needlework, reading novels, and diving into new adventures and travels with her family.
