The standard consultation length is 15 minutes and should be sufficient to discuss 1-2 straightforward issues. If it is your first consultation at Healthfront Doctors, it is a third party/workcover injury, or you wish to discuss multiple or more complex issues please book a longer appointment – 30 minutes. This can be done by phone or online.

If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough or sneezing, you are encouraged to wear a mask when attending Healthfront Doctors.

Should you require your medical records to be transferred to  Healthfront Doctors, please request a consent form and this can be forwarded to your previous practice. You may also complete a Transfer of Records form via HotDoc.

Yes.  The doctors offer bulk billed telehealth – phone and video consultations – to eligible patients. During these appointments, they can provide eScripts and referrals for specialists, pathology, or imaging. Please specify if you want a telehealth appointment when booking over the phone or online. Be aware that this service has limitations and your doctor may still require a face-to-face visit.

The doctors offer bulk-billed telehealth phone and video consultations to our patients who have an existing clinical relationship with them or at a Healthfront Doctors location.

This includes:

  • Patients who have had a face-to-face consultation with one of the doctors in the past 12 months
  • Patients who have had a face-to-face consultation at a Healthfront Doctors location in the past 12 months.

If the above criteria are not met, then there are certain exemptions for patients to still receive a bulk-billed appointment. These include if a patient is:

  • experiencing homelessness
  • under 12 months of age
  • in a natural disaster area
  • needing mental health planning and treatment services
  • requiring urgent after-hours services in unsociable hours
  • receiving blood borne viruses, sexual or reproductive health consultations

If you do not meet the eligibility criteria for a Medicare rebate, you can request a privately billed telehealth consultation. Please note that these appointments do not receive a Medicare rebate. To arrange this or to address any concerns, please contact our practice directly.
